About the Role

Are you an industrious, loving nanny looking for your next great opportunity? This family is looking for someone to help with their 5-year-old girl after school. You will be responsible for school pickups and providing after-school care. The family is very loving and welcoming, and is looking for a nanny who can become an extension of their family. The daughter can be described as someone who is cautious, calm, loves reading, and is very affectionate when she gets to know someone. A typical day will involve picking her up from school, providing after school care (including facilitating playdates), preparing snacks and meals, supporting with bath time, and helping the daughter with school work. Household responsibilities will include general tidying, support with meal prep, washing, folding and drying the girl’s laundry, and supporting with running errands and grocery shopping. The nanny will also be responsible for taking the daughter to various activities, such as painting classes, piano lessons, tennis lessons and going to the library.

Flexibility is a must for this role. The general hours will be 3-8PM. The day may end anywhere between 6 and 8PM, depending on the parents’ schedule for the day, but they need someone who can support up until 8PM as needed. The parents will also require occasional weekend support (approx 1-3 shifts per month). On average, the role will be about 25 hours per week, but the family will commit to paying 35 hours per week regardless of the actual hours worked. In return, they are looking for someone who can be flexible with supporting them as needed.

To be competitive for the role, applicants should have previous nanny experience, be flexible with hours, are willing to support with household chores and meal prep, and can support with additional children occasionally (on playdates or when family members are in town). There may be occasional travel opportunities to accompany the family on trips if the nanny is interested.
